Transcript of Climate Change

Industrial Pollution Precipitation Weather Change Extreme Wind Climate Change Climate Change is the change in weather over time .It could include : Causes The Earth's Climate is changing and We Are Responsible! The climate has been speeded up by Human Activities. The cause of Climate Change could be divided into two Groups : Natural Causes Changes in the tilt of the earth can lead to small but climatically important changes in the strength of the seasons, more tilt means warmer summers and colder winters; less tilt means cooler summers and milder winters Human Causes The main cause of Climate Change is the Greenhouse Effects Natural Causes Human Causes 21% carbon emissions from transport * 4% of carbon emissions come from industrial processes Water Vapor Effects Climate Change has already started in the World ! Glaciers are shrinking , ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner. The Effect are Now occurring loss of sea ,sea level much higher , more intense waves . Effects on the Arctic Climate change is causing the Arctic to warm more quickly ,causing a major loss of Arctic sea ice.

Arctic sea ice helps regulate climate by reflecting sunlight back into space.

As sea ice is lost, more sunlight is absorbed into the ocean. The water warms, causing more ice to melt. Oceans Heavier rainfall will cause flooding in many regions Deserts Extreme drought is increasing. Higher temperatures cause a higher rate of evaporation and more drought in some areas of the world. Animal in Extinction Unless we make changes now, In less than 100 years they will be completely gone The largest greenhouse gas in Earth .When it increase the Earth's atmosphere warms.Currently , water vapor is increasing very fast and would result Major Precipitation Sea-surface temperatures are warming. Warmer waters in oceans could cause Tsunamis, hurricanes Sea level is rising. The sea level rose about 15 cm due to melting glacier ice. Seawater is becoming more acid. Carbon dioxide is dissolving into the oceans, and making seawater more acidic. There could be impacts on marine life. Deserts account for up to 25 per cent of the Earth's land surface, are home to half a billion people Africa Africa is one of the most vulnerable continents to climate change. Agricultural production in African countries will be severely affected by climate change. It is severe most in the Sahel, East Africa, and southern Africa. Climate change will result in a loss of species and extinction of many plants and animals. Changes are already being detected, for example in southern Africa. Water sources are disappearing Climate change in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi could also experience malaria by 2050 Deserts Deserts are areas where the rainfall is too low WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP ? Recycle Reduce Greenhouse emissions Drive less Change lights Less Hot Water Plant a Tree lower thermostat Kyoto protocol The average temperature is 100 degrees during the day and below 50 degrees at night. CO2 A minor but Very Important Component to the atmosphere. It is releases by respiration , volcano eruptions and human activities such as deforestation,, and burning fossil fuels. Humans have increased CO2 by a third .This is the one of the largest cause of Climate Change. David Susuki Foundation Copenhagen Summit Something has to be done or else ... The rainfall in desert areas is less than 250 mm per year, sometimes there's not even rain at all. Desert areas such as Australia ,California ,Africa,Iran ,Iraq and Saudi Arabia would make human life extremely difficult .Plants ,animals and water will disappear. Those are sources are important for human health.
