Vocab words
Call 911 or your local emergency number. When you call for help listen carefully to the emergency operator's questions and be prepared to give the location of the emergency including the street address, landmarks, and the names of the nearest cross streets and give your name and, if asked by the operator the phone number from which you are calling.

Common Hazards
Some hazards are drowning, poisoning, fires, falls, car crashes, bicycle crashes, and being shot by guns.
first aid for common injuries
Wash your hands with running water and soap thoroughly to clean the wound. To stop the bleeding put a clean cloth on it and put on pressure. Cover the wound with a bandage.

Hazard is something in the environment
something about a person's actions that can
cause harm or injury.
An emergency is a situation that calls for quick action.
First aid is immediate care given to an injured person .
Concussion is brain injury caused by a strong blow to the head.

Step 1. Perform a ten second survey. Quickly look over the scene. Try to answer the following questions. You will need this information when you call for help.
. what happened
. how many people are injured
. is anyone at the scene in danger of further injury

Fire Safety
What you can do to prevent fires is to keep heat sources such as space heaters, lamps ,and candles away from curtains and blankets. Store flammable liquids,such as gasoline, outside your home in a well-ventilated area. Make sure you dont leave your oven on when you are not home.
Escaping a Fire
If there is a fire crawl on the ground toward the door and feel it with the back of your hand to see if it's hot. If it is use a window or another exit. Get to your safe place quickly.
What does hazzard mean
A something that causes harm.
B something that doesn't use physical bulling .
C a hazard is a butterfly .
