Safety
A glimpse into the future of Lakeside School District
Wyatt Yeargan

Problem
It may seem like a problem that doesn't happen very often, but injuries in athletic events are very easy to
foresee
when the right equipment isn't used.
Solution
Innovative
safety equipment, such as thicker Football pads and softer fields are being
designed
for outdoor athletic events, would adequately meet the safety needs and it would create a more secure
trend
.

A:

Q: What makes your design innovated?
A: My Design is re-designed to help prevent more injuries.
Q: What was the inspiration for your design?
A: One of my friends broke his arm, when playing on a football field, and it made me think about how much safer football fields would be if they had softer materials.
Q: What current safety features of Lakeside do you think will still be in use in 2050?
A: football equipment such as, helmets, chest pads and leg pads, AstroTurf fields.
Q:What do you think will be te biggest safety concerns and why?
A: The amount of contact that may happen while playing sports, due to the size, strength, and or aggressiveness in sports over time.
