When the cylinder is OOR oil can burn due to the taper in the walls.
This will cause more harmful emissions to be exhausted.
The rings will not be able to squeegee the oil off the cylinder walls properly because the intermediate ring will not be able to reach as far as it could have without the out of round

If connecting rod bearing are out of round it will cause the oil clearance to decrease and cause metal to metal contact, and bearing failure as a result.
If the connecting rod bore is out of round and the bearing are perfect, the bearing will take shape of its housing and can cause bearing failure if extreme.
With excessive crank shaft endplay you will find thrust bearing failure, and will break main bearing caps. It can also cause connecting rods to fatigue and break and te wrist pins to come loose. To fix this you must first find the cause wether it be a accessory on the timing belt pulling too much or caused by the transmission
