Transcript of The St. Louis Cardinals' awesime 2011 World Series run!

The St. Louis Cardinals 2011 postseason run! Big trades to get Furcal, Rzepczynski, Dotel, and Jackson. The Cardinals started to go the wrong way finding themselves 10.5 games back in the wild card on August 25th. The Cardinals clinched the wild card on the last day of the regular season thanks to a complete game shut out of the Astros by Chris Carpenter. The Cardinals beat the Phillies in 5 games thanks to, once again, a complete game shut out by Chris Carpenter! The Cardinals beat the Brewers in 6 games as they finish off the season series against the Brewers 13-11! Here is the highlights of the series! After the first two games of the World Series, Allen Craig had two go ahead pinch heat singles off Alexi Ogando. In Game 3 Albert Pujols joine the reccord books becoming only the third player in World Series
history with three home runs in one game. Along with Reggie Jackson and Babe Ruth, who did it twice. With the Rangers wining the next 2 games in Texas, the Cardinals found themselves down 3 games to 2, but they were headed home where the greatest fans in baseball were waiting for them. The Cardinals found themselves down to their last strike in the ninth inning of game 6. It's 7-5 Rangers, runners on first and second, 2 outs, David Freese at the plate. The NLCS MVP ties the game with a triple to right field, take a look for yourself. The Cardinals are once again down to their last strike in the bottom of the tenth inning in game 6 thanks to a Josh Hamilton two run home run in the top of the tenth. It's 9-8 Rangers, runners once again on first and second, 2 outs, and Lance Berkman at the plate. The "Big Puma" singles to right-center field driving in Jon Jay to tie the game at nine. Finally it's the bottom of the eleventh inning of game six with David Freese leading off. The count is full on the NLCS MVP. David swings at the next pitch and hits it in the air to center field... a walk off homer to force game 7 of the world series where Chris Carpenter would pitch on three days rest for the second time in his career. It's game 7 of the world series and in the top of the first Carp gives up 2 runs. So the Rangers are up 2-0 going into the bottom of the first. But the Cardinals strike back as game 6 hero, David Freese, doubled to left-center to drive in Pujols and Berkman to tie the game at two. In the third Allen Craig would homer into the Cardinals bullpen to give the Cards a 3-2 lead. In the bottom of the fifth the Cardinals would score two more runs without a base hit to make it 5-2. In the top of the 6th inning Cruz hit a deep fly ball to left, it looked as if it was going to be a home run into the Rangers bullpen but Craig had different thoughts. Allen, getting the start in left field due to an injured Matt Holiday, leaped at the wall and robbed Nelson of a home run and kept the game 5-2 St. Louis. Then in the bottom of the seventh Molina hit a base hit up the middle driving in the Cards 6th run. Motte came in the game to close it out.
Top of the ninth, 2 outs, 0-1 pitch to David Murphy is a fly ball to left where Craig catches it and the St. Louis Cardinals win their 11th World Series championship in 2011!!!
