Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand.
It is the feeling of not being able to cope with a situation
Caused by both good and bad experiences.
When people feel stressed , their bodies react by releasing chemicals (Cortisol and Adrenalin) into the blood.
These chemicals (Cortisol and Adrenalin) give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger.
What is stress? Stressors are things that trigger stress: Different types of stressors are: Emotional: E.g. relationship problems
Social: E.g. peer pressure
Life crisis: E.g. death in the family/ what am I going to do next year?
Economic: E.g. Not enough money
Personality: E.g. Some people, naturally, just stress
Environmental: E.g. Weather and traffic
Physical: E.g. Physical harm Grade 12 can be very demanding if you don't manage your stress
Various medical disadvantages to stress: Trigger asthma; heart diseases; low immune systems
