INTRODUCTION
The impact of worlwide market demand presents important relation to the development of the halal food industry in Malaysia. Dato' Jamil (2008) who is the chief Executive Officer of Halal Development Corporation in Malaysia, revealed that, in 2005, the global market for halal products was USD 2.77 trillion. Furthermore, global situation is one of the reasons that upgraded the development of halal food demand in Malaysia (Mariam, 2006). Thus, an increases in supply for halal certification and logo is expected to rises.
shaklee products Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary of Shaklee Corporation. Shaklee Malaysia started its operations since August 1995 with the Home Office strategically located at Subang Jaya Selangor and six other branch offices situated throughout Malaysia in Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bharu, Kota Bharu and Kota Kinabalu. Shaklee Malaysia operates its business in total compliance to the Direct Sales Act 1993 with its Direct Selling License No AJL93747.
OBJECTIVES
To explore the perspective of the entrepreneurs Shaklee Malaysia with regard to their understanding of Halal Certification system in Malaysia.
To identify or establish whether Shaklee products is halal and follow syariah compliance.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

What is halal certification?
"Halal Certification is recognition from Islamic certified bodies to show that the product produced is permitted based on Syariah Law"

Why food manufacturers need halal certification?
"To go into global Halal market and at the same time increase consumer confidence towards the product consumed"

What kinds of approach do you take in order to monitor the halal requirement?
"we appointed third party in order to help us monitor the situation. But it is costly to maintain"
"Record each of the inspections process in a specific form is important. But, sometime the recording data is not accurate. Commitment and honesty is needed"

How to prevent the haram substances from coming in contact with your products?
" Effective supervision is needed. In this case, Islamic knowledge is also required. Finally if it's a necessity to hire foreigner let them be Muslims"
Many people and consumers of Shaklee products outside there confused whether their products is halal or not because of several issue that complain CarotoMax (vitamin A), Vitamin E and Omega Guard produced by shaklee are made from Bovine Gelatin. If the issue is true it can give a bad impact toward Shaklee Company in terms of sales and lost of their loyal customers from domestic or international

Many users Shaklee acknowledge that their health much better after taking Shaklee products. This means that all the Shaklee vitamins are secure market and has been approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH). Shaklee products that do not pass the approval of the Ministry of Health would never market.
THE RESULTS & THE FINDINGS BASED ON THE MAJOR ANSWERS
Do the ingredients used in Shaklee products is halal?
"Of cause yes. Shaklee is natural vitamins, not synthetic like a normal supplement. The meantime competitive price and not expensive"
"For Lecithin products in the U.S. Market, gelatin capsules used in Soy Lecithin may use a mix of pork and beef gelatin. In other words, Soy lecithin capsules are not guaranteed to be free pork. To ascertain the truth of this explanation, several Shaklee distributors have contacted Shaklee Malaysia Company and they explain that products to the Malaysian market are produced in other factories and also have halal certification from the Islamic Service of America (ISA)"

It affects the ways in which members of society relate to each other and to outsiders. Religion also affects the types of products consumers may purchase as well as seasonal patterns of consumption. Our recommendation, every company should produce halal and safety products to get higher profit and demand not only in domestic but in international. Consumers like products that give them satisfaction. Every entrepreneurs should focus to increases quality of their products more than to increases their profits.
