Digital litreracy

digital footprint
The internet and social media
Privacy and Security
Always be careful on social media, you should make your account private so that not anyone can see it. When you make a password, choose something not too complex like:
but not something too easy like:
. When you make a name on a game make it not your own name.
Relationships and Communication
When you are on social media, a game or anything where you can talk to people can be dangerous. Most of the time you will be talking to your friends, family or others just playing the game like you, but its not other children and people you know. Some people you don't know might want to talk and get to know you. They might say they are a friend of your friend, but they might not be and this is dangerous. Don't tell them any of your personal details if they ask you.
When you go on a site like YouTube you can write a comment on a video, that comment will stay on the internet forever, it is called a digital footprint. If you are on a social media site and post a photo then find you don't like it and delete it it will still be on that site but you don't know it.
Be safe on the internet and social media but have FUN!
If you ever get cyberbullied, delete or report that person then tell an adult. Cyberbullying is a crime and you could go to jail.
