In this prezi we will be telling you about what makes up a nervous system. This is what consists of the nervous system The Brain Which organ system contains your organ?

The brain is the center of the nervous system.

What are the organ's main functions?

The function of the brain is to crontol the actions of an animal or human.

Which disease or disorders affect your organ?

Inflammation- It effects the vision. It can also cause weakness in the entire body

Strokes- If someone has a stroke it leads to damaged brain cells. It can also severly affect the persons ability to think coherently.

Brain Tumors- They not only affect the brain but also the nerves

How does your organ works with other systems to keep the body healthy?
It sends signals (actions) to the various smooth muscles in the body
Cardiovascular system: Keeps the heart pumping the correct amount of blood and keeps it beating
Digestive- helps to break down food

Can a person live without your organ?
No you cannot live without your brain because it is controls everything in your body. Since the brain controls the heart if the brain wasn’t here it would not keep the heart pumping the right amount of blood. Also the brain also controls your movements so you would not be able to talk, walk, hear or see etc.) Spinal Chord Nerves Which organ system contains the nerve?
The nerves are a part of the nervous system. The nervous system is the part of the human/animals body that coordinates the actions of the body and transmits signals to other parts of the body.

What are the organ's main function?
A nerve is made up of specialized cells called neurons. They transmit signals through parts of the body.

How does your organ work with other systems to keep your body healthy?
3)The nervous system contains two main parts of the body, the brain and spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system contains mostly nerves. The nervous system is used to send signals through parts of the body.

Which disease or disorder affect your organ?
4)There’s a lot of nerve disorders that can also effect the nervous system including vascular disorders, such as stroke, transient ischemic attack (TIA), subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage and hematoma, and extradural hemorrhage.

Can a person live without your organ? Why or why not
NO a human would not be able to live without nerves because there would be no signals going through your body which mans you would not be able to move at all. Eyes Which organ system contains your organ?

Nervous system

What are the organ's main functions?
- detect light and convert into electro-chemical impulses in neurons
- eyes let you see
-collect light and adjusts it to form an image, so you can see things
- Detect whether its light or dark, and send a message to your brain

How does your organ work with other organs to help your body healthy?
When you put carrots into your mouth(digestive system) it goes and helps your eyes to help the human body see better

Which diseases or disorders affect your organ?
-sometimes when you get certain types of cancer, it will make you go blind
-some eye diseases are...
- myopia-when an eye is to long or a cornea
- Hyperpoia-when an eye is to short or a cornea
-Astigmatism-cornea is oval shaped, objects look wierd
-Presbyopia- aging of the eye that causes blurryiness, or sometimes to go blind

Can a person live without eyes?
Humans can live without eyes, but they can't see anything without them This is a Spinal Chord and Nerves The Nervous System Ears By Sarah, Klea, Holly, Amanda, Brooke and Noah Which organ system contains your organ nervous system?

Nervous System

What are the organ's main function?

Hearing, balance control

How do ears work to keep the body healthy?

The ear works with the brain to process sound waves so your memory of the brain can conclude what the sound is

What disorders affect the ear?

Fluid problems, deafness and ear infection

Can some live without ears?

Yes its not a major part of the body its only providing hearing 1. Which organ system contains your organ?

Nervous system

2. What are the organs main functions?

The hand is used for many different functions, such as holding something, or gripping something. A purpose to physically manipulate the environment around them.

3. How does your organ work with other systems to keep the body healthy?

The hands help keep your body healthy by being able to maintain cleanliness to prevent viruses and sickness.

4. Which diseases or disorders affect your organ?

Polydactyl, Carpal tunnel syndrome, claw hand and a few more

5. Can a person live without your organ?

Yes, there are many ways we need the hand, but none of those ways are life threatening to lose. Done by Holly Klea Which organ system contains your organ?

The nervous system

What are the organ's main function?

The main function of the spinal chord is transmission of neural inputs from the perphery to the brain

How does your organ work with other systems to keep the body healthy?

It transfers information between the brain and organ system to ensure everything is working correctly

Which diseases or disorders affect your organ?

Transverse myelitis (TM) is a segmental spinal chord injury caused by acute inflammation

Can a person live without your organ?

Perhaps a person could live without spinal chord. A person would need some type of devise to protect the nerves from the brain to the rest of the body Spinal Chord and Nerves Done by Noah Done by Brooke Nervous System Done By Sarah Spinal Chord Nerves Done by Amanda Vocab Words for 3.5 Nervous system coordinates and controls all organs and organ systems; detects, processes and responds to stimuli Important Notes How the nervous system is organized The nervous system consists of many division. Two of the most important are the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system is composed of the brain and spinal chord, while the peripheral nervous system is made up of the cranial and spinal nerves Neurons The nervous system is mostly made up of one type of tissue called nervous tissues.
Nervous tissue is made entirely of specialized cells called neurons Nervous System Each nerve of the peripheral nervous system is composed of two types of neurons

The brain receives stimuli from the outside world, gathered by the sense organs: the eyes, ears, mouth, nose and skin The Reflex Response In some situations, sensory and motor neurons may work together without involving the brain, this is known as a reflex. A reflex is an automatic response by the nervous system to an external stimulus Central Nervous system Peripheral nervous system Nervous Tissue- tissue of the brain, spinal chord and nerves

Neurons- specialized cells of the nervous system that recieve and transmit information

Dendrites-small branches of a neuron that receive information from neighboring cells

Axons-long extension of a neuron's cell body that transmitss information to neighboring calls

Sensory Neurons-cells that carry information from the body to the central nervous system

Motor neurons- carry information from the central nervous system to the muscles or other organs

Somatic nervous system- division of the peripheral nervous system that controls voluntary responses Now here is a jeopardy game to test what you have learned Division of the nervous system composed of the brain and spinal chord division of the nervous system composed of the cranial and spinal nerves In the blue is the peripheral nervous system References wikipedia.com google.com Picture google.com
