By: Carlee Thompson and Jessica Heidisch Usually an industrial robot consists of a tool, an industrial robotic arm, a control cabinet, a control panel, a teach pendant, and some other robotic equipment. What task does your industrial robot preform? What human function or task can it do? Where is an industrial robot used ? What is it's work envelope? How many flexible joints does it have? The industrial robot is taught to do it's task by inserting a automated work cell, when building the robot. You add the task into the work cell and insert it into the robot. How is the industrial robot taught to preform it's task? Distance, light, sound, strain, rotation, magnetism, smell, temperature, inclination, pressure, or altitude are all sensors in the industrial robot. what sensors does the industrial robot have and how does it use these sensors? Industrial robots are programmable, multi-function manipulators designed to do tasks such as welding or the movement of materials through programmed motions. Robots are capable of performing a wide variety of tasks and are an important part of automated manufacturing systems. Is the robotic end effector multi-functional? If so, what other tasks can it perform? An Industrial Robot are usually used in the auto industry.
A robot's work envelope is its range of movements.
It is the shape created when a manipulator reaches forward, backward, up and down, How long the arms stretches and the design of the axis. Each axis has its own range of motion. A robot can only perform with the confines of this work envelope. Name some advantages and disadvantages of using an Industrial Robot to complete any task? Disadvantages: They are expensive, take up a lot of space .
Advantages: they are generally faster, more reliable and less error prone (after the bugs are worked out). The industrial robot has a positive impact on it's intended audience. The industrial robot works very well and does not destroy items, it builds items. Describe the impact that an Industrial Robot has had or could have on it's intended audience Industrial robots can help businesses by boosting quality and productivity. That's definitely a benefit for American labor. Industrial Robots can create Welding, Installing safety systems, Robot maintenance and repair Using hydraulic test equipment, Failure analysis testing
Robot installation and removal. What type of jobs/careers can an industrial robot create to provide employment for people? Industrial Robots! In the future Industrial Robots may be able to perform multiple task in a fast motion at a time. Thanks for watching!
