Transcript of Fairy Tales
fantasy creatures such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, dwarves, giants, mermaids, or gnomes. They also typically include magic. By; Ashley Did you know? Many classic fairy tales that have been in Disney such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, etc were not written by Walt Disney himself but by many others including the Brothers Grimm (Snow White), and Charles Perrault (Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty). Modern vs. Original There are many different categories of fairy tales, such as
fairy tales like Cinderella. In classic fairy tales there is usually a prince, a princess and a happy ending. But because of the growth and progression of fairy tales there has been many variations, in my opinion modern books and movies such as Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings can be considered modern day fairy tales because they include many aspects any other fairy tale includes, such as magic and mythical creatures. The biggest difference between some modern fairy tales and older ones is the amount of humorous content or the amount of drama, conflict, and the fact that these newer stories are much longer than classic fairy tales. Fairy Tales and Other Stories A Modern Take on the Classics Since we are talking about modern takes on fairy tales I decided to read a story. This might not be considered modern because it was published in 1983, but here is an alternate version of Jack and the Beanstalk written by Roald Dahl. Fast Fact Sources Thank you for watching!!!! THE END Many classic fairy tales have been re-made into modern
day movies, there has also been many variations to certain
"tales" in books. Such as; Mirror Mirror, Jack the Giant Slayer, Hoodwinked, Snow White and the Huntsman, Alice in Wonderland, Brothers Grimm and Beastly. Fairy tales were originally used to teach children how to behave. Parents would use them to try to scare their children out of doing anything dangerous or bad. For example Little Red Riding Hood was made to teach children not to talk to strangers or wonder through the woods alone. Fairy Tales Other Stories Include fantasy like settings

doing new things
because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." "All your dreams can come true, if you have the courage to pursue them." Quotes "Laughter is timeless.
