AIM OF LAW
Protect the integrity of Filipinos from the harmful effects of dangerous drugs on their physical and mental well-being.
Pursue a serious and an intensive campaign against the trafficking and use of dangerous drugs and other similar substances.
Make sure that people with legitimate medical needs,including the use of dangerous drugs, are not adversely affected by this program.
Provide effective mechanism or measures to re-integrate into society the individuals who have fallen victims to drug abuse or dangerous drug-dependence through sustainable programs of treatment and rehabilitation.

The purpose of RA 9211 is generally to promote a healthful environment.

It informs the public of the health risks associated with cigarette smoking and tobacco use as well as regulate and subsequently ban all tobacco advertisements and sponsorships.
More importantly, the new law protects the youth from being initiated to cigarette smoking and tobacco use by prohibiting the sale of the products to minors.
Moreover, a visible "Smoking Area" sign must be posted and it must include a warning about the health effects of direct or second-hand exposure to tobacco smoke.
The law also provides minimum age requirements for the sale, purchase, and use of tobacco by a minor (below 18 years old). In case of doubt as to the age of the buyer, the retailer must verify by asking for an identification card with a photo and date of birth.
Selling tobacco is also prohibited within 100 meters away from a school, public playground, or other facilities frequented by minors.

Punishment for policemen and law enforcecers who delay drug cases
Mandatory drug test for drivers
Random drug tests for students and governmentvand private workers
