What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?
Careers are sometimes called
jobs or occupations. Your job right now is being a student in school, to learn good work habits and work with others.
Let's look at some different careers . Do some of these jobs include your STRENGTHS (things you do well) or INTERESTS (things you want to learn to do well)?
You are a student with a very important job. Some of the boys and girls who learn at school with you may invent new things or be leaders in our country. You will be able to do new things because of the jobs we have now.
We have jobs at home and jobs at school.
There are some jobs we enjoy. These are INTERESTS. An interest is something you want to do or learn more about. You don't have to be good at something for it to be an interest.
STRENGTHS and INTERESTS can help you choose a career for your future, too!
There are some jobs at home and school we do very well. These are STRENGTHS.
People have differents strengths and interests to help them do their jobs well.
All jobs are important to help our community, homes and schools.
