100% of staff that attended the training took forward active travel initiatives

On average each NHS active travel champion engaged with 150 people, totalling over 2300 between them. Legacy Sustrans volunteer offerpart of Active travel champions will become part of the Sustrans volunteer offer We’re a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day.

We work with families, communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people are able to choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys, with better places and spaces to move through and live in.

Last year there was a 15% increase in journeys made on our National Cycle Network. This equates to health benefits of £442m.
