2011-2012 New songs for her new album ARTPOP were "beginning to flourish" as she worked with producer Fernando Garibay in early 2012. Even before its release, ARTPOP caught the attention of several media. In a poll by Billboard magazine, more than 50% of the readers named the "most anticipated album" for 2013. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, most known by her stage name "Lady Gaga". Was born on March 28, 1986, in New York City. Descending From Her Sicilian/Italian parents Cinthya Bisset and Joseph Germanotta, stefani grew in Manhattan which is an inspiration for many of her songs. Gaga also was raised Roman Catholic and she attended at the Convent of the Sacred Heart when she was 11; at her school, gaga didn't fit in and she felt like a freak. Stefani withdrew the CAP21 at 19 to focus on her musical career; she began a band with a group of friends (Called SGBand) and they sold their EP around New York and becoming in a local fixture. At 2006 the band reached their career peak and in this year the band dissolved.
Later Stefani met Rob Fusari and worked on songs she had written and compose with whim. Fusari also claims to have created the lady gaga´s name "Every day, when Stef came to the studio, instead of saying hello, I would start singing 'Radio Ga Ga'. That was her entrance song".

Born This Way sold 1.108 million copies in its first week in the US, debuted at top the Billboard 200, and topped the charts in more than 20 other countries. In addition to exceeding 8 million copies in worldwide sales, Born This Way received 3 Grammy Award nominations, including her third consecutive for Album of the Year. The tour for Born This Way, titled 'The Born This Way Ball', kicked off at the end of April 2012. Although the tour consisting of 110 shows across the globe was a commercial success with positive reviews, an early controversy, particularly notable in locations of the tour's leg in Asia, saw protests from several religious groups who viewed the tour as satanic and against religious values, resulting in protests mainly from the Islamic Defenders Front, causing a cancellation in the Indonesian city of Jakarta, where Gaga was denied a license to perform.In March 2012, Gaga was ranked fourth on Billboard's list of top moneymakers of 2011, grossing $25,353,039 dollars. Due the success and the main theme of Born this way album, lady gaga decided to launch the Born this way Foundation (BTWF) Philanthropy Besides her musical career, lady gaga has also contributed to various charities; she donated the proceeds of her January 24, 2010 concert at New York to benefit victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Gaga announced that an estimated total of US$500,000 was collected for the fund.

And on November 6, 2012, Gaga pledged to donate $1 million to the American Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy in New York City. Lady gaga also teamed up and showed her support to UNICEF program "Child Friendly School" helping improve the culture in schools and fighting against bullying; when she visited a ventanilla school in Lima, Perú. Due that she was bulled in her school too. Gaga also contributes in the fight against HIV and AIDS, focusing on educating young women about the risks of the disease. In collaboration with Cyndi Lauper, Gaga joined forces with MAC Cosmetics to launch a line of lipstick under their supplementary cosmetic line, Viva Glam. Titled Viva Glam Gaga and Viva Glam Cyndi for each contributor respectively, all net proceeds of the lipstick line were donated to the cosmetic company's campaign to prevent HIV and AIDS worldwide; The sales of Gaga-endorsed Viva Glam lipstick and lipgloss have raised more than $202 million to fight the disease. Gaga is an outspoken activist for LGBT rights worldwide. She attributes much of her early success as a mainstream artist to her gay fans and is considered a gay icon. She called the October 11, 2009 National Equality March rally on the National Mall as "the single most important event of her career." When she left, she did it saying so exultant "Bless God and Bless the Gays." In fact lady gaga spoke at a Servicemembers Legal Defense Network's rally in Portland, Maine. To repeal the law "Don`t Ask, Don`t Tell", in which, with honor she exclaimed "If you don`t like, Go home!" Following this event, many editors commented that she had become "the real fierce advocate" for gays and lesbians, one that Barack Obama had promised to be. In 2012 gaga created the "Born This Way Foundation" (BTWF) a non-profit organization that focuses on youth empowerment and issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring, and career development.
