Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.

The members of Slytherin tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented. They also have highly developed senses of self-preservation.
The Gryffindor house emphasizes the traits of courage, daring, determination, and chivalry. It's because of these traits, Gryffindors have a reputation of being brave and sometimes reckless.
Students are sorted into Hufflepuff based on values rather than a particular aptitude in some sort of area. Hufflepuff are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial.
Do you have an story from your university that you believe deserves to be shared?
This house was also home to three of the greatest witches and wizards of our time...
Hermione founded S.P.E.W. (Society
for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare) in her 4th year at Hogwarts after seeing how horribly they were treated at the Quidditch World Cup. The organization was meant to raise awareness of the issue and to lobby for a change in their working conditions.
Hermione was one of the brightest witches Hogwarts had ever seen and could be counted on to find the answer to any problem.
In addition to her extremely logical nature, she also had a compassionate side, making her quick to not only help her friends, but other magical creatures.
He was the person who was always willing to put himself on the line for the good of the group.
Ron was an extremely loyal friend. He cared very much for the people that were closest to him, and no matter how bad the situation became, he was always there when his friends needed him the most.
Wizard's Chess
At the end of the trio's first year of Hogwarts, the group went through a series of obstacles in order to retrieve the Sorcerer's Stone--one of them being a life-size game of wizard's chess.
Dumbledore's Army
When banned from learning Defense Against the Dark Arts, Harry taught defensive spells to a group of students in secret.
He didn't care about winning, but rather the safety and empowerment of others.
The club was named Dumbledore's Army after the headmaster he admired dearly.
Dumbledore was a great mentor to Harry and someone who encouraged students to learn from their mistakes--he didn't just give them the answers. He was the one to lead Harry down the right path, and eventually down the road that took Harry to the greatest challenge Harry ever had to face.
He was determined to always do what was right.
The Battle of Hogwarts
Hogwarts was also the site of the Second Wizarding War. It was in this battle that Harry faced and ultimately defeated You Know Who.
Harry was the one person to survive Avada Kedavra. His parents were killed by HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, and he was forced to live with his less than pleasant Aunt and Uncle until his acceptance to Hogwarts. Despite all these hardships, Harry kept moving forward.
To give you an idea of what we're looking for in an entry, we decided to use a school and some inspiring individuals whose story we all know well...

When Harry was in the Triwizard Tournament his 4th year, he did something truly good-hearted. During the challenge in the Black Lake, Harry not only saves Ron, but also the sister of one of the competing contestants.
He was so concerned with the safety of each of the people captured that he forfeited his win to make sure no harm came to anyone.
Saving Fleur's Sister
Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley were three best friends who had a big impact during their time at Hogwarts.
Members of Ravenclaw are widely known to be the most academically motivated of the four houses. Learning, wisdom, wit and intellect are just a few of traits valued in its students.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is an exceptional institution dedicated to cultivating the minds of young witches and wizards. Students are sorted into one of four houses based on certain personality and traits.
In order to win the game and advance forward, Ron was willing to sacrifice himself so that Harry and Hermione could go on.
