The most common age in Ohio for children to become victims of trafficking is 13 years old, and the number of Ohio children who become victims of human trafficking each year could fill a large high school.

If you commit the crime of sex trafficking in Delaware, Montana, New Mexico, the offender could face up to 100 years, while in states like California and Oregon an offender may face 8-10 years.
If you commit the crime of sex trafficking in California one could face fifteen years to life and a fine of not more than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)
• Toledo women sentenced 3 years for taking minor from Michigan to Ohio and forced to do commercial sex
• 16 Year old in Perrysberg, Ohio saved from human trafficking. In the case, a 71 year old man was charged with operating the whole thing
• 2012 the Ohio Human Trafficking Taskforce presented 26 ways they can help recognize and treat victims of human trafficking
