Transcript of Interior Design
I went to Humber College for six years, four years for Bachelor's degree, volunteered in many different non-related (Library, Community Centers and Schools) and related places (Co-op) to my career.
In this particular career creativity, technical skills, art, education, communication, and self-confident is important.
In The Future:
I think in the future there would more opportunities for other interior designers since there different styles and there would be more in the future. To keep my options open, is to participate in different projects and different styles and designs.
I work for Mason Studio in Toronto for four years.
As an Interior Designer, my main duties are to estimate material requirements and costs, present designs to client for approval, advise client on interior design factors, and select or design, and purchase furnishings, art works, and accessories.
Is what you do different in any
way from what others in your occupation do?
My job is to deal with clients with different tastes and favours. I don't particularly serve a certain group of people and I don't design in a special field or style.
Interior designing doesn't have any specific city, country or place to work and the person can choose him/herself where to work.
needed to success:
Biggest Challenge(s) in my job:
Persuading the clients with your designs and ideas
Coming up with new ideas
Dealing with different clients and controlling your anger

What other jobs
could I do with the skills
I have gained in this field:
How does my career
Interior designing satisfies me because it includes creativity, mathematics, art, and designing which I enjoy a lot.
I think that enjoying your job is much more important than the salary, but in this job I make enough money.
Sometimes I do not like to deal with some clients because they can be a pain in the neck and you have satisfy them with your design and controlling your temper.
What should people do to get
started if they are interested in this occupation?
They should take related courses (mathematics, art, and computer tech) and should volunteer or work in places for interior designing; for example: co-op.
