Following the signature of the Registry Agreement with ICANN in April 2014, the ZA Central Registry is in the process of taking the final few steps towards the launching the .africa .durban .joburg and .capetown Top Level Domains.

Prior to delegation the following information must be uploaded into the portal:
Sunrise & Claims Database (TMDB) production environment
Once the Registry Contact Information has been uploaded, ICANN will, within 7 business days, facilitate access to the TMDB production environment. The Registry's designated TMDB Point of Contact (POC) will:
Receive the registration token from ICANN Registry Services;
Register in the TMDB using the registration token;
Receive an email from the TMDB system with login credentials and the access URL
Interfaces with the TMDB provider (IBM) throughout the testing and certification process
