The United States Marine Corps, also known as the United States Marnes, is thebranch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for providing power projection, using the mobility of the United States
When enlisting in the Marines, you must choose a MOS. Where you will go for training after basic will depend on the job you pick and the training it requires. For assistance in your choosing a good MOS for you, refer back your ASVAB scoring and focus on the areas you excelled in. Concentrate on jobs that include these skills.
Street bikes, sport bikes, dirt bikes – Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) has them all. You will learn motorcycle theory, engine troubleshooting and diagnosis, drivability, and performance testing on leading brands in the industry.
Boot camp is 13 weeks, followed by three weeks of either the School of the Infantry or Marine Combat Training.
Boot camp is located at Parris Island Recruit Depot, SC on the east coast and San Diego Recruit Depot, CA for those on the west coast. All women will attend recruit training at Parris Island.
All Marine officers will complete The Basic School (TBS) upon receiving their commission. TBS is six months and will cover leadership, land navigation, weapons qualifications, small unit tactics and communications.
