The plot is the cycle of events in the story. Most of the time it begins with an idea of a problem or an unresolved situation ,The middle shows us the events that arise from this problem ,The end of the story brings solution to the problem.
THEME
This pertains to the central thought or idea that the story presents. For example, it is not enough to say that a story is about love. The theme would rather say that unrequited love does not ask for anything in return or love conquers all.
LANGUAGE OR STYLE
This points to the way the author writes the story.
CONFLICT
This is about the challenges that the main character faces in the story. It includes initial conflicts and the main conflict of the character
FOLK TALES
Definition: A traditional narrative, usually anonymous, handed down orally -- e.g., fables, fairy tales, legends, etc.
FOLKTALES CONTINUED
Folk tales are our link in the past, it gives us a glimpse of our ancestor’s world and it enriches our imagination.
