By some, this painting is considered to be the 1st Cubist painting and by others a major step to the Cubism movement. The painting depects five nude prostitutes in a brothel in Barcelona, Spain. The five women are depected in a very unusual and unconventionly way women are traditionally painting. Picasso's style of painting in this composition allows only the view to understand what the pictoral content of the painting.
