THE FRAMEWORK- Summer Social Holiday Party

We stand on the shoulders of the efforts
of 34 previous boards. The framework
consists of the following ENTITIES AND EVENTS that will occur over the coming year.

OBJECTIVE TODAY:

WHAT SHALL WE DO WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK TO IMPROVE THE STATE OF THE PROFESSION IN ASHEVILLE? Scholastic Art Awards Every winter AIA Asheville contributes $2500 to
a scholarship for high school students who are recipients of the scholastic art awards. Box Lunch Educational
Programs This popular forum is for sponsors to reach out to our members, and for our members to learn more about product offerings, and acquire continuing education units. Section Meetings Our most important educational programs
for our membership. These serve
as a platform for our committees. Content
should provide hsw/sd continuing education. In July we do not have a section meeting.
The summer social offers a relaxed opportunity for
members to converse and get to know each other.
Our sponsors are invited to this party. We will host an architectural speaker of note that has not spoken before in Asheville in the spring or in the fall. Possibilities include Patricia Patkau and Marlon Blackwell. In lieu of a December Section Meeting we host
a holiday party. Another good forum for local architects to socialize.
This is also the time to thank last year's AIA Asheville Leadership, and to welcome the new members. Our sponsors are invited to this party. number: 10 per year
