Transcript of Anime Club

Anime Club AMVs AMVs can show how creativity and hard work can make many people happy. Though AMV and Anime/Manga are seen as not a good influence they should think again. Most are put together, with dances. And many people have used anime base dances for fun but also have gotten a work out from it. These are some examples: Hayao Miyazaki age: 69 He was born January 5, 1941 in Tokyo, Japan. He is a flim director, screenwriter, and character designer. He believes in:
1 : a theory that views environment rather than heredity as the important factor in the development and especially the cultural and intellectual development of an individual or group
2 : advocacy of the preservation, restoration, or improvement of the natural environment; especially : the movement to control pollution
1 : the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes
2 : organized activity on behalf of women's rights and interests
1 : opposition to war or violence as a means of settling disputes; specifically : refusal to bear arms on moral or religious grounds
2 : an attitude or policy of nonresistance Vocaloids What is Anime? Anime is the term for Japanese animation.
It covers more serious topics then American types of cartoon entertainment. In Japan, anime is meant to be viewed by all people, not just children. There are many genres of anime
including romance, comedy,action,
drama There are some forms of anime that are
intended specifically for males called
shounen and there are some that are
intended for females called shoujo
and businessmen. Anime come in many forms including
OVA's which are straight to video
anime usually creating a larger budget
and smaller time constraints, movies,
and television. Anime has original stories although some
have been taken from stories and characters
found in Japanese comic books called Manga. To understand Japanese anime, it is helpful to know about the culture, same as any other cartoon that you would watch from a different culture. Common factors of the art of anime would be the huge eyes, brightly colored hair, well-endowed female characeters, and exaggerated emotional expressions. The early artists of anime were influenced by early Disney characters. The Art of Anime European artists had introduced shading, perspective, and anatomy. When Japan was opened to the world, they were able to notice this. Also, word balloons and separate sequences. New and effective way to print. Influenced by the Europeans, Japanese started to write humor magazines. History of Anime Sailor Moon is one of the most famous manga/anime worldwide.
It was created by Naoko Takeuchi. The genres are magical girl, adventure,
romance and fantasy.
The basic plot is this: a girl named Usagi Tsukino, 14 years old, is a clumsy,
sweet, and typical dumb blonde! lol
There is more to her than meets the eye, though.... she is actually a moon princess from the future, seeking refuge from the dark forces that invaded her kingdom. While she waits until it is safe for her to return, she is a Sailor Senshi (sailor-soldier); a super girl in a sailorsuit. She and the other Sailor Senshi (one for every planet, plus Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon, and Usagi's daughter Chibiusa/Sailor Chibi Moon) with Luna, Artemis and Diana (kitties!) have to protect the earth from evil.
Oh... yuh sorry forgot about Mamoru (her love interest). He is an absolute jerk on earth but, because he and Usagi are destined to be together in the moon kingdom, the two of them become good friends and eventually fall in love once more. He also has to protect the earth, and often gets Usagi out of scrapes, and uses the identy of Tuxedo Kamen. ^_^
There's a lot more to the plot... and there are 200 episodes... and it's my favourite anime....
btw, the anime people are CHIBI versions of the real characters. I just thought they looked cute, so yeah.... lol Sailor Moon This was created by Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi. The
genre is magical girl, adventure, and romance.
It's about 5 girls who have the genes of endangered animals inside them, and are able to transform into supergirl with the characteristics of their animal (for example, Ichigo has the genes of a wildcat, and she gets cat ears and a tail, and the playful nature of a cat).
The girls all have names that are also names of some kind of food. I don't know why. There's Lettuce, Ichigo (strawberry), Minto (Mint), Zakuro (Pommegranite), Pudding, and Berry. Plus there are these aliens that they have to fight; Pai (pie), Kishu (quieche? sp?) and Tarto (Tart XD).
For some reason , the other guys in this have normalish names.... Like Masaya, Ryou and Keiichiro. ^__^ Tokyo Mew Mew Lolita fashion Lolita is a Japanese street fashion inspired primarily by the clothing and general aesthetics of the Rococo and Victorian periods. This fashion movement started in Japan in the 1980's and has evolved greatly since. Nowadays Lolita Fashion has grown to be relatively popular all over the world. Relatively popular for an obscure Japanese street fashion, that is. Pictures
