The Book Thief Example 3:
Reinhold was a rude stubborn man that hated Hans. He always thought he was better than Hans Hubermann. Zucker always picked on Hans and when he forced Hans to get up and switch seats with him, he finally had a little taste of his own medicine. The car crash came unexpectedly and took Reinhold's life. If he never told Hans to move then Hans would have been they dead one.
Real world example 1:
On September 11, 2001 America was bombed by Osama Bin Laden. He was a terrorist from Saudi Arabia. Osama killed almost 3,000 people when he convinced men to take over planes and crash them into the Twin Towers in New York City.
Real world example 2:
The Book Thief Example 2:
Liesel sees Max as more Jews are marched through town on their way to Dachau. Liesle runs up to Max and the Nazi almost beats her to death. She has not seen Max since he last left because he felt like he had caused too much trouble. Liesel was excited but also scared when she saw Max because he is now a prisoner of war, at least she can hold on to faith of seeing him again.
Example 1
"The Jew was whipped six times. One on his back, his head and his legs. 'You swine' Blood dripped down from his ear.
Then it was papa's turn." page 394

Humans are Brutal
Example 3
"Move it", he said.
? Excuse me?"
Zucker was hunched beneath the vehicle's ceiling. "I said move it,
." The greasy jungle of his fringe fell in clumps onto his forehead. "I'm swapping seats with you." Page 475
In 1933 Jews in Germany were harshly persecuted because Hitler hated Jews. This led to the murder of 6,000,000 Jews. The Nazis killed approximately two thirds of the Jews living in Germany, and an estimated 1.1 million children were murdered in the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler had strict laws against Jews and he fired them from their jobs. Hitler then started killing the Jews.
It was brutal when Hans Hubermann was punished for feeding the bread to the Jew. He saw the Jew dying and decided to do something. Hans wanted to show the same help to the Jew as he once received. He didn't mean to start anything, he just wanted to help a man in need.
This is an example of the brutality of humans. Hans was just trying to help a dying man and instead he was punished by being sent to Germany to fight in the war. Hans was punished just because he had sympathy for a dying hungry man.
Liesel just wanted to see an old friend. She had been searching for Max and when she finally found him he was almost dead. The Nazis almost killed him along with many other Jews. After Liesel runs up to him she was about to be beaten to death but Rudy holds her back.
Example 2
I think that Zucker is just an example of horrible people. Hans never did anything to Reinhold he just can't get over the fact that Hans is better than him at cards. If Reinhold wasn't so mean and forced Hans to get up then he would have not been dead. This just shows the irony of death.
What kind of person would purposely kill 3,000 people? Terrorists are really vulnerable people to allow someone to tell them to do something horrble including killing themselves. I can't believe people focus on so much hate if they took the same initiative to make things better the world would be a better place.
“Every Muslim the minute he can start differentiating, carries hate towards Americans, Jews and Christians, this is part of our ideology. Ever since I can recall, I felt at war with the Americans and had feelings of animosity and hate towards them,” said bin Laden in an interview with al-Jazeera Arab television in 1998
I cant believe Hitler wanted to kill the Jews because he thought they were all communists. He blamed them for the defeat of Germany in WWI. Hitler was a disgusting man. Hitler killed very many good and innocent people.
“The struggle for world domination will be fought entirely between us, between Germans and Jews. All else is facade and illusion. Behind England stands Israel, and behind France, and behind the United States. Even when we have driven the Jew out of Germany, he remains our world enemy."
- Rauschning,Hitler Speaks,p. 234
"The whip continued from the soldier's hand. It landed on Max's face. It clipped his chin and carved his throat. Max hit the ground and the solider now turned to the girl. His mouth opened. He had immaculate teeth. A sudden flash came before her eyes she recalled the day she'd wanted Ilsa Hermann or at least the reliable Rosa to slap her, but neither of them would do it. On this occasion, she was not let down. The whip sliced her collarbone and reached across her shoulder blade."
