TV TURNOFF WEEK
I think TV turnoff week is a
terrible/bad
/ good/
interesting/
amazing/great/innovative
idea
First of all
, it saves energy.
Imagine if all of us would turn our TVs off for one entire week! We would save energy, our electricity bill will decrease and this would save us some money. At the same time we are protecting our environment. Electricity comes from different sources and some of them hurt our environment in different ways. Why don't give our earth the opportunity to breath for a few days?
In addition
, it helps us get away from our regular sedentary lives.
Many adults, teenagers and kids nowadays are getting used to spending most of our days sitting in front of a computer or a TV. We have become very dependent on these devices and we have lost the habit of walking in the park, kids don't play outside anymore, they just watch TV all day. By turning off our TV's for one week we are giving ourselves the opportunity of having more active lives which at the same time helps our health.
In conclusion,
I believe TV turnoff week is one of the best ideas I've recently heard. I think it's time to make a change and why don't start with something as simple as this. I will totally support this event.
