Poseidon`s Symbols Some of Poseidon`s symbols would be the dolphin, the horse, the octopus, a seagull, and the three pronged fish spears. Poseidon`s Kingdom Poseidon lives in an underwater kingdom. With his sacred animals which are the seagull, the albatross, the octopus, and the dolphin. Poseidon has the powers to communicate with all of them. His Kingdom was made of coral and gems. Poseidon`s Appearance Poseidon was old, bearded and he carried a trident.Although he sounds like he looks boring but he looks just like this picture. He also has fierce blue eyes and sea blue hair. Poseidon`s Weapon of Choice Poseidon used his pitch-fork looking trident in battle.
He would pound it on the ground to create either a massive flood or a earthquake.he can also raise land out of the sea with it. What Poseidon Rules Poseidon rules all things that are underwater. Poseidon is one of the three major gods. He has two brothers and one sister. Sometimes Poseidon and Zeus would get in a fight and create a terrible, terrible disaster. He also rules over horses. Poseidon was born then, Cronus ate him and he basically lived there until Zeus was born. Rhea protected Zeus and tricked Cronus into eating a stone. Then Metis made a potion and tricked Cronus to drink it and it made him throw up the kids. Poseidon Birth How he got to be where he is now The three gods, Poseidon, Hades, and Zeus put the three elements on pieces of paper and they took them out of a helmet to see how they would divide rulership over the universe. Obviously Poseidon got the sea. Transportation Poseidon rode on a swift chariot on the waves pulled by golden seahorses. Posiedon Myth : The Flood of Athens Poseidon and Athena were choosing the god/goddess who would rule Athens. They had to bring a gift to the Athenians, then the Athenians would choose who they liked the most to be their god/goddess. Athena brought an olive branch which was used for wood and olive oil and Poseidon brought a salt water spring which was used for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, but it was beautiful. So, in the end, the Athenians chose Athena then, Poseidon got mad and decided he would get revenge so, he flooded Athens. Poseidon`s Wife Poseidon`s wife`s name is Amphitrite and she is a sea nymph, who is part of the nereids (fifty sea goddesses or nymphs). At first Amphitrite would not marry Poseidon, but then Amphitrite went away in the sea and Poseidon sent a ton of sea creatures to go and find her. One dolphin succeded and the dolpin was the one that begged her to marry Poseidon. Amphitrite eventually gave in.
