JAVIER CAMBRE He worked on many different types of art including photography, videos, collages, text, and scupting. Born in Puerto Rico in 1966. Javier attented the universidad de Puerto Rico. He also went to Pontificia Bolivariana which is located in Columbia During his years there he studied architecture. In 1998 he graduated from the school of art institute of chicago. He got a master of fine arts. Javier shows his work at the Brooklyn museum, Whitney Biennial, and the contemporary art center. His work can be found throughout the world with his work muesems in Spain, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and Russia.
Javier Cambre has grant from many places including the New York foundation for arts, National Association of Latino arts and culture, New Jersey counsil on the arts,and the Research Foundation of the City University of New York. He also has obtained residencies from the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, CA, and at the National Studio Program.
