as an amateur project.

It was immediately a great success but in 2001 the company entered a period of financial crisis due to the high cost of platform development

In 2003 Pyra Labs was bought by Google and Blogger has become as we see nowadays

Let's see how to create you blog
First you have to log in with your Google account on Blogger.com
Create your blog domain and see if it is available
Then you are ready to start
Now that we create our blog let's see how to custom it
Decide your template or modify it

You can choose from many templates and see a real-time preview on the bottom of the page, if you like it press "Apply To Blog" on top-right button
Let's start with the design panel
If you don't like color's theme and/or default background you can change it with few clicks

Decide the position of the image

Decide if you want to repeat the image  vertically, horizontally or  not

Choose if you want a scrolling or fixed image

If the background image is single color you can choose the color to put around it

Let's see how to create a new category on Wordpress
Choose the name

If it's a sub-category select his parent

Write a brief description

Then Add New Category
When you add a new post you will see all categories on the right side
Simple click on the checkbox
Here it's an example of how to create a new page

Simple go to Pages menù and then Add New
This is your Dashboard, here you can find informations about blog's trend
Here there are some of them:

Right Now with a resume of number of post, pages, categories and rest

Stats with a simple graph that show number of views and new post and below best post of the week, most search, and yesterday's most active

Your Stuff with all you change on all your blogs
In Users menù you can add new users and give them privileges
There are 4 type of roles:

Administrator
Contributor - can only write and manage his post but he cannot publish them
Author - can manage and publish his post
Editor - can publish his post and manage also other users' post
If you are not satisfied with free Wordpress' services you can upgrade you blog
