What you can do in a group
For this presentation, I will use the 'Self-care resources for activists' group as an example. This is what the group space looks like once you 'join' the group.
(for help on joining a group, see the presentation on 'How do I join a group')
Group members see this box listing the group tools available.
Let's explore the group tools available to group members.
Clicking on this link will allow you to start a group dialogue that other group members can add their comments to.
Clicking on this link will allow you to upload an attachment (PDF, Word doc, txt file, etc). Group members will then be able to download that attachment.
Clicking on this link will allow you to upload images to the group space. Here, you can also embed a video (the must be hosted on another site like YouTube or Vimeo).
Clicking on this link will allow you to share a hyperlink with the group.
This link will allow you to start a group wiki (an online document that other group members can edit).
Use this link to invite other colleagues to this group.
This link will allow you to see all the group members.
This is the group member that is the Manager of the group (usually the person that created the group).
Clicking on this link will give you group-membership options. You can go here to leave a group.
The content that you've added using the group tools links will show up under the corresponding group sections:
When there are more than 3 items of a type of content, you will see a 'more' link. Click on that link to see all of the shared information.
Clicking on the 'more' link will bring you to a list of all the information shared under that section (in this example, this is a list of all the links shared in this group):
To go back to the front page of the group space, click on the group title.
This is the front page of the group space.
