Hiding Content - You can tweak your stream by:
see only Friends
see friends of Friends
hide posts from a specific service for a single user
hide posts from a specific service for all friends
hide posts that don't have any likes or comments

Likes are the engine of the recommendation system.

If you want to your friends to see a certain post just "like" it. 
In addition you can export your likes to Twitter, subscribe to 
someone's likes or create an RSS feed from your own likes.
Friendfeed also offers an easy way to track discussions that you've previously commented on. Just click "My Discussions" in the sidebar

This is possibly the most powerful feature for Friendfeed PowerUsers.
