Powerpoint is dead! What an alternative - well my ap of choice now. A real example is at Pixie.ie, using it to deliver a very powerful message to a large (not web) audience. As you will see here with my small example navigation is fantastic! If you can't read small text then click on it to zoom in or centre. Enjoy - If you want to keep track of my progress Google pjfbncyl (I link everything) watch out world - prezi is coming. This is for Dermot (my sponsor) Weight Loss Programme at http://NowChangeYourLife.com This is for everyone http://NowChangeYourLife.com/just4you All the links work I've checked Here comes my favourite picture that I took of the canal in Tullamore. [Had to test imaging capabilities of this software. ] Then you can publish PDFs and for my twitterbuddies - http://twitter.com/pjfbncyl RT PLS - I'll try to only tweet the good stuff but you know me - I get excited. LOL #love Will have a full report on my homepage R&D ...and finally (this is only a demo) took me an hour to explore - daily now 15 minutes to download and install 1hour to get my first presentation up 5 hours experimenting +watching excellent videos 6 hours to get it halfway right-For lectures? 3weeks Forgot: it zips and saves to PC and creates a web link to publish to web Phew! Thank you for your time. We have to buy this prezi software, Dermot -it will be fantastic for our lectures tried a 32 page publication and it worked Whoops - One more thing.... Obsrvations : I have noticed that people are using this software for many reasons. Amazon.com, for example, sees it as a business tool and a very good navigation tool to sell their products. Graphic designers love it. So far the theme seems to be "Get My Message Across" from global concerns [e.g. Women] down to country specific topics. Germany currently holds the top spot for prezi users, USA second, the UK is pretty good too. we will be seeing a lot of prezi presentations embedded in web pages. traffic trends: 460% up in the past 3 months. Top traffic: Japan 188,674 How did I find out about this software? Why Twitter of course. stats courtesy of Alexa : http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/prezi.com 30/04/09 You could stop now 28/04/09 or carry on..........This is right so far, Experimentation next 24 Hours Later > MayDay I love Japan - I lived there for 4 years - Art, Culture, Manners, Elegance, Beauty... are just some of my keywords. Married a Japanese Girl, So I've chosen my theme for today I learned how to write Kanji, it is very Zen. Sadly I've fogotten now. My browser supports Japanese, I just like looking at it. Translation All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.(Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights) Of course Japan is famous for Haiku, the 5-7-5 syllable poem. Saying it all a thousand years before twitter. I am a traditionalist, Basho is God. I find modern haiku a bit contrived. Rules : must have a seasonal word. Like "hotogisu" a sort of nightingale, whose dismal cry is a great favourite of the Japanese, heard only at a certain time of year. A thousand pictures in one word. Zen is given. Deepen thou my loneliness, o hotogisu Basho [While I think of it: do follow @arjunbasu. He tells a whole story in a 140 characters exactly. Can't RT there is no room. You can only copy and paste and worship. He is TwitterZen, boy he makes me laugh! ] And on the lighter side: What do the Japanese love? Well I guess you all know, kimonos, bonzai, cherry blossoms,"simple" is true art ...every house in Japan has an alcove , usually in a special room. In the alcove is a vase. Thats it! I'll share with you a story. Met a tele-salesman in Tokyo. He was really hyped. Ads would appear on TV with his telephone number on it. He would then proceed to hard sell them. I mean really high pressure sales. He was very successful and always exceeded his quota. Talked ninety to the dozen. He was also a tea ceremony teacher in his spare time! When he spoke about the tea ceremony the salesman persona disappeared. Totally. He was like a monk!!!! Thats "nihonjin" But the most favoured thing in Japan, that is worshipped as a God, venerated by all and one of the five essential-to-do before you die? I did it and it gave me tremendous respect and power. A pilgamage no less. Took me a day and a night. See the sunrise fom the top of FujiSan! Well I could keep going for a month. But I won't. The true message you should take from all this is: Go there yourself. It will enrich your life and leave you with memories you will keep for ever Domo arigato gozai masu Thank you - my first attempt I have improved if you are not tired : http://prezi.com/54400/ it is different I have improved if you are not tired : http://prezi.com/54400/ it is different http://prezi.com/54400/ Thank you: I am learning a lot. If you have time .....it is really different
