What is Second Life (SL)?

It is a multi-user virtual environment (MUVE) inhabited and shaped by resident
everything in SL is created by users
with a 3-D modelling tool
and a scripting language
SL is a virtual world developed by Linden Lab in 2003
SL is not a game
SL is an environment for
interacting
collaborating
expressing yourself
doing just about anything you
can do in real life like...
there are no levels, quests or goals
change your gender or 
appearance easily
