Transcript of COMM 335-W01: News & Politics Week of April 7
This week we're doing something different: I want you to watch two interviews with former President George W. Bush and compare the styles of the interviewers. All of the clips are in this Prezi, and you can advance from clip to clip by using the arrow keys in the lower righthand corner. Both interviews were conducted last year, and both were given to promote Bush's book, "Decision Points." The first interview, with NBC's Matt Lauer, is divided into six segments and has a total running time of approximately 45 minutes. After you finish one segment, use the arrow key to scroll to the next. Lauer/Bush, Part 1 Lauer/Bush, Part 2 Lauer/Bush, Part 3 Lauer/Bush, Part 4 Lauer/Bush, Part 5 Lauer/Bush, Part 6 Now let's take a look at the interview Bush gave to Fox's Sean Hannity. This interview aired a few days after Lauer's and is divided into three clips, also with a total running time of about 45 minutes. Hannity/Bush, Part 1 Hannity/Bush, Part 2 Hannity/Bush, Part 3 End of program. Please make sure you have watched each clip in its entirety before moving onto the discussion on Blackboard. I will be looking for evidence that you have done so when I grade you responses this week.
