Classes start at 8:00am

School is dismissed at: 
4th & 5th Grades - 2:38pm
6th - 8th Grades: 2:45pm
Before Care Starts at 6:30am
After Care Ends at 6:00pm
This means IN CLASS 8:00am
Supply lists were in the summer packet and are available on our website.
No wheeled backpacks (unless Doctor's note)
Agendas are required (on Wednesday) - $5
Middle School students will purchase locks - $4
Absences
Tardiness
If your child is sick, please keep them home, especially if they have a fever
Send a note or call the office to excuse the absence
If it is habitual, doctors notes may be required
Unexcused Absences: 5 days out of 30, 10 out of 90 triggers legal truancy issues
More than 25 absences could mean retention.


Students should be in class at 8:00am 
Parents will receive an email for tardies. 
Third tardies is a COA/Detention
We will not excuse tardies, students must be at school on time. 
Be sure to consider traffic, constructions, etc.

The most important thing we focus on during car circle.
Car Circle
7:40am - 8:00am
2:38pm - 3:00pm
Red Tags - Stay Right
Blue Tags - Stay Left
Generally takes about 10 minutes (initially will take longer)
Arrive towards the end if you don’t like waiting in line
Drive carefully and follow staff directions
Do not enter between CVS and McDonalds
All cars will be moved, once all stop moving, then students may get in or out.  No students can be in the parking lot when cars are moving.
Only park in parking spots
If your student is not in the car when he/she is supposed to, you need to go back around the circle.  No exceptions, sorry.
Students should only dropped off and picked up in the car circle unless you park and you personally walk up to the building
Be sure to have your pick up tags in your windshield when you come in the afternoon
Please use your directional signals when exiting the lot

Signed permission form is required for anyone leaving campus on their own.
HIGHLY DISCOURAGED 
Every year there are problems at McDoanld’s

Be sure to give anyone picking up your child the car tag.
If no car tag, they will need to come into the office with an ID.  We need written permission to release students to adults. 
6:30am - 7:45am
3:00pm - 6:00pm
$2 / day for regular attendees
$5 / day for drop-ins
$10 / day for regular attendees
$15 / day for drop-ins
ID will be required initially
Payments are due the Friday preceding services (pay in advance)
Drop-ins are allowed only if there is room
Rules/Expectations will be distributed the first day

Must be ordered first thing in the morning with attendance

You may pay in advance.  Change is no longer given

If you owe money, you will receive a daily email

Volunteers are needed to switch to hot lunches
Use kind, respectful words and behaviors
Be prepared for class
Walk in the hallways
Hall passes are required during the day
Phone calls home are for emergencies only
Do not demote others to promote yourself
Cell phones should be kept off and put away
Electronic devices should be kept away
Dress code will be followed

Essentially warnings and parent communication 
Consequences (such as detentions, silent lunch, etc) can be assigned
After the third one the student receives a referral
An email “Reply to All” will suffice for record keeping

Are recorded on the students' permanent record
For serious or repetitive incidents
Consequences are laid out by a matrix. 
Referral pages must be signed and returned to school.

PPA believes that homework provides students the opportunity to learn important lessons in responsibility and accountability. Therefore, homework is assigned to reinforce the learning that is taking place within the classroom. Homework is an integral part of the student’s education.  
Expect about 10 minutes of homework per grade level.

To find homework, click on “SCHEDULE” and then choose “All Classes” 
Used only for grades and messaging, not behavior or attendance
If you change your email address be sure to notify the school office
Elementary lose a grade everyday
Middle school lose 20% each day, not accepted past the second day. 

Students/Families are responsible for neglect/damages beyond wear and tear
Recommend using book covers
Missing books are charged to families
