KISD Summer 2009 Technology Staff Development Review
Digital Storytelling I want to make some podcasts for my class. It was GREAT I know I am excited to go home and try it out with my own family :) I enjoyed the class and hope to implement podcasting in my classroom. Hopefully the needed infrastructure will be in place to allow me and my students to take advantage of this. This is one of the first inservices provided by the district that I feel can facilitate my teaching in the classroom and beyond. Thanks for providing this opportunity. So many exciting ways to engage our students. I can't wait to get started I plan to have more collaborative writing products using these different skills throughout the year. I hope to interact more with the students by using what I have learned today. 21st Century Learning There is so much to learn from the internet/web; would like to learn more. I love going to technology training sessions I learn so much and get so inspired. Very informative. Learned so many new things about the web, podcasts, wikis. Gathered info I can use to bring more technology to my classroom. Google Earth What FUN I can't wait to show the kids I will use Google Earth with my classes to supplement the regular class social studies lessons. I liked the tool and think it could add excitement to lessons. What a great opportunity to use another alternative to textbook learning Great--My mind is rolling with ideas for projects and using these tools with my projector.
