C.E.W.L.

So what are the students At Van Meter doing to help change the way their peers learn?
And we ended up putting together a commitee of tech savy students who have voulunteered to help us solve these problems.
Well we started off with two initial issues that we needed to solve as the school year progressed.
How do we plan on dealing with any technical issues? Such as broken computers or "user errors".
How are we going to teach our school district to effectively and effeciently use the technology we have been given, and the millions of learning tools that can come with it?
So we started brain storming,,,
We knew what we needed to acheive, and we knew we needed a cool name while doing it.
After many thoughts and ideas, we concluded upon C.E.W.L. or Computer Effeciency Workers Leauge!
Much like the Justice League, we were assembled by fate to rid our school district of the confusion and frustration brought upon by the lack of basic computer skills.
So how are we going about obtaining our goal and fixing our issues?
We have created an email adress for students or teachers to email if they were having any technical difficulties. We will then assign a group member to not only fix the issue, but explain how to avoid or fix the issue themselves if were to happen again. That way the student/teacher in distress will hopefully come away from the issue with a new piece of knowledge that they can spread to others.
Not only do we fix technology issues, we also help teachers integrate technology into their teaching methods. As of now, we have each member of CEWL assigned to a specific teacher to help answer any questions they may have or to help show different tools to teach the students that will help them become more effecient learners and more productive students.
So that is what the Van Meter students are doing to help put the technology we have to use and to help Their peers in such ways that will help further improve their effeciency and productivity. We will help produce model citizens who will THINK, LEAD, and SERVE in the increasingly technological advanced world we now live in.
Pretty CEWL, huh?
