System Requirements

by Adam Somlai-Fischer

Basic computers are just fine

The Prezi editor runs well on most contemporary computers, even netbooks. You can easily determine if your computer meets system requirements to create prezis:

  1. Check out any prezi from Prezi.com/explore to see if it plays back smoothly on your computer
  2. Check if you can play back YouTube videos whlst in fullscreen mode of a prezi

High End usage

If you would like to create a very demanding prezi (with many videos, animations, high resolution images), or you would like to show it on a professional stage using double HD projections, you can. Prezi is using Adobe Flash technology to render the prezis real time, therefore you can create very high resolution presentations, but your playback performance will rely on the hardware. Here are some hardware recommendations:

  1. Prezi editor will perform best on Windows computer, followed by Mac OS X, and will be slowest on Linux
  2. Fast processors and lots of memory help more than a strong graphics card
  3. It can help to play the prezi through once, it will play smoother the second time (without restarting the prezi)

Website

The Prezi.com website supports all major modern browsers (Internet Explorer 7 and above, Firefox 3 and above, Chrome, Safari, Opera) but for the best experience we recommend using the most standards compliant browsers available (Firefox 3.6+, Chrome 4+, Safari 4+, Opera 10+).

Prezi Desktop

The system requirements of the Prezi Desktop application are the same as with Adobe AIR, read about it here.
