Grouping objects together
by Zoli Radnai
How to group items within frames:
1. Add items (text, images, videos) to the prezi canvas
2. Select a frame to draw around the objects
3. Move/scale/rotate the frame and its contents together
4. To remove an object from a frame, drag the object out of the frame at any time.
OR:
1. Draw a frame on the prezi canvas2. Drag and drop any object(s) (text, images, video) into a frame to group the objects with the frame
3. Move/rotate/scale the frame and its contents together.
To turn grouping off and move/rotate/scale the frame without the contents, Alt + Click on the frame.
You can also resize frames by double-clicking on a frame to see the four control points, and dragging the control points to change the size of the frame.
Note: grouping is not available with hidden frames.
Temporary grouping of items without using frames:
And alternative method to using frames is to temporarily group-select objects in Prezi, to do this just hold the SHIFT key of your keyboard and the LEFT mouse button at the same time, then drag a rectangle around the objects you wish to select together.
When you release the mouse and the keyboard, you will see the Zebra tool appearing over the entire selection. Now you can scale, move and rotate the selection the same way as you do with single selected objects.
But remember this method is temporary - when you click away the grouping will cease.
