Licenses and Accounts:
Q: - Can I register an educational license if I have a school district email address, different from my school's website?
A: - Yes, please simply register the school district website on our registration form.
Q: - Can I use Prezi if I am under 18 years old?
A: - You can use Prezi if you are under 18 years old and if you are 13 years or older and have obtained consent from your parent, teacher or school (or other guardian).
Q: - Do I need to provide any written consent from parent or school to Prezi to be able to sign up?
A: - No, you don't need to provide Prezi with any written consent. By checking the box "I agree to the Terms of Use" you indicate that you have obtained consent from your parent, school or other guardian.
Q: - Does a school need to have written consent from parents to let students below 18 years use Prezi?
A: - No, the school's consent works in place of the parents consent. Note that children below 13 years of age are not allowed to register an account at Prezi.
Q: I want my students to be able to use Prezi, but we do not offer school email addresses for our students. How can I get them on for free?
A: Prezi educational licenses can be registered with educational email addresses only that match the school’s domain. Like myschool.net (com, org) and myname@myschool.edu (net, com, etc.) You cannot register an edu license with a commercial email address. We check teachers and students identities by this registration method. As a workaround, you can try to get educational email addresses from third party services such as Gaggle.net. You can also talk with your local system administrator and ask for a number of student email addresses only for Prezi use.
Q: Can I create a class account for my students using my teacher EDU account?
A: Prezi’s educational licenses do not support having a master account which you could use to create roster accounts for students. All your students need to get the free EDU Enjoy account separately using an educational email address. We have heard of many teachers who have asked their local system administrator to create a bunch of student email addresses only for prezi even at schools where students don’t get email addresses by default.
Q: How can I change my account email address?
A: You can change your registration email address, on your license&settings page. You can reach this page page by clicking your name on the top right corner of "Your page". Choose "license&settings" from the drop down menu you get when you click your name.
Q: I attempted to sign up for Edu Enjoy but yet to be sent a confirmation email to finish my registration.
A: In some cases well protected school networks stop all automatic emails including the one that comes from Prezi as a confirmation email for educational registrations. Please ask your local system administrators to allow all email communication with Prezi.com.
Q: How can I move from Pro to EDU Pro account?
A: This is a bit tricky. In Prezi’s license system you cannot go from Pro to EDU Pro straight, because there is nowhere to “upgrade” from a Pro account. So you have to first cancel your Pro account. It will be valid until it expires. When it expired (at the end of the one year subscription), go for the Public account by clicking the related link in your “license&settings” page and then from the Public account you can immediately upgrade to EDU Pro. Please note: your prezis will all be set to public for short time period you are using the Public account.
Q: Can a child or student under the age of 18 use Prezi?
A:  Yes.  A child or student under 18 may use Prezi with the permission of parent or “guardian.”  Prezi considers teachers and educators to be guardians for educations licenses.

Editor related issues
Q: My YouTube videos disappear from downloaded prezis
A: YouTube videos only work in online prezis. You embed these videos to your prezi, you don't upload them, sothey are played back from YouTube.com, not your computer. Once your prezi is offline, you don't have connectionto YouTube.com anymore, so these prezis will not play back.
Q: My prezi suddenly disappeared while I was typing something/after I have uploaded an image or video/when I reopened itafter having saved and closed it.
A: It is very likely that your prezi has zoomed away, but the content is still in the canvas - out of your focus. Please read this article for a step-by-step workaround: http://prezi.com/learn/zoomed-away-prezi/
Q: Help, everything I type is appearing upside down!
A: Hi, this can happen when the prezi is too large. Please check the zoom meter on the right side of your screen, group select your entire content (by holding shift and dragging a rectangle around your group of objects) andscale the entire prezi up or down until the zoom meter starts to move towards the center. It is also possible thatyour canvas is simply rotated by 180 degrees. Use keys 3-4 on your keyboard to rotate it back to right side up.
Q: I cannot move/rotate/select/ objects in my prezi! (they are faded out!)
A:  Prezi has a feature called zoom to lock, which locks objects too far or too close to your view so you will notmess them up when you work on your canvas and drag/move/rotate objects on a different zoom level. Holdingthe shift button unlocks all locked elements. read more about this feature in our related blog post.:http://blog.prezi.com/2010/10/14/new-editor-enhancements/
Q: I have uploaded an image but all I see is a funny shaped yellow blob instead. I cannot delete it!
A: These yellow blobs are placeholders of images which could not be uploaded. You can get rid of them by holdingthe shift button, clicking them, and when you see the zebra tool over them, just hit the backspace key on yourkeyboard. After you have successfully deleted the placeholder, try to upload the image again. If you cannotupload any images there must be a network protection issue in the background. Please check your firewall/proxysettings and allow all communication with Prezi.com!
Q: I have just  realized that autosave froze: will I loose all my work from the last few hours?
A: The best solution when an online prezi autosave hangs is to group select your entire content, than copy/pasteit to a new, empty prezi and save that one. Usually there is no problem with autosaving, but a local network glitchcan cause the problem you have described.
Licenses and Accounts:
Q: Can I register for an educational license if I have a school district email address, different from my school's website?
A: Yes, simply register the school district website on our registration form.
Q: Can I use Prezi if I am under 18 years old?
A: You can use Prezi if you are under 18 years old and older than 13 years and have obtained consent from your parent, teacher or school (or other guardian).
Q: I need a customized invoice/receipt of my purchase. Where can I find it?
A: Due to Prezi's recurring payment system, paid accounts come with a 30-day free trial period. You have to provide your credit card details when you register/upgrade to a paid account but you will only be charged on the 30th day of the trial period after the registration/upgrade. When you get charged, you get an automatic receipt from PayPal in email. Also a customizable invoice will be available from your Settings page at https://prezi.com/settings/. Here you can customize the billing name and address as well.
Q: Do I need to provide any written consent from parent or school to Prezi to be able to sign up?
A: No, you don't need to provide Prezi with any written consent. By checking the box "I agree to the Terms of Use" you indicate that you have obtained consent from your parent, school or other guardian.
Q: I want my students to be able to use Prezi, but we do not offer school email addresses for our students. How can I get them on for free?

Q: How can I move from Pro to EDU Pro license?
A: This is a bit tricky. In Prezi’s license system you cannot go from Pro to EDU Pro directly, because there is nowhere to “upgrade” from a Pro license. So you have to first cancel your Pro account. It will be valid until it expires. When it expires (at the end of the one year subscription), get the Public account by clicking the related link in your “Settings & License” page and then from the Public account you can immediately upgrade to EDU Pro. Please note: your prezis will all be set to public for the short time period you are using the Public account.

Editor-related issues:
Q: The new Prezi Zebra does not have a "+" menu anymore. It has a "pencil" button instead. Where can I find the "+" menu options and what does the "pencil" button do?
A: The old "+" menu options are now available in a right click (ctrl+click on Mac) menu. Just click your right mouse button after the Zebra appeared to find moving forward-backwards, copy/paste and all the other former "+" menu options. Hitting the"pencil" button results the same as double clicking any object in your editor. If it's a line, arrow or frame, you will see resize and bending control points. If it's an image, you will be switched to image cropping mode, if it's a text, hitting the "pencil" button will initiate text edit mode.
Q: How can I add my own logo to a prezi?
A: This feature comes with paid licenses only.
1. Click the "Colors & Fonts" bubble menu of the editor
2. Click "Theme Wizard"
3. When the Theme Wizard pop up window is open, click the "Replace Logo" button
4. Choose an image from your computer, and hit Enter.
Your logo will be shown in the lower left corner of the Theme Wizard's previw window and your Prezi editor window as well.
Note: The logo customization feature of the Theme Wizard comes with paid licenses only. PreziDesktop comes with the Pro account only. So, if you have an Enjoy license and a trial version of the PreziDesktop, you cannot customize your logo using the desktop editor. You can do it using the online editor though. If you decide to upgrade to the Pro license, the feature will be available in your PreziDesktop offline editor as well.
Q: My YouTube videos disappear from downloaded prezis
A: YouTube videos only work in online prezis. You embed these videos to your prezi, you don't upload them, so they are played back from YouTube.com -- not your computer. Once your prezi is offline, you don't have connection to YouTube.com anymore, so these prezis will not play back.
Q: How can I select multiple objects in my prezi and scale/move/rotate them together? (Group selection)
A: To group-select objects in Prezi just hold the SHIFT key of your keyboard and the LEFT mouse button and drag a rectangle around objects you whish to select together. When you release the mouse and the keyboard, you will see the Zebra tool appearing over the entire selection. Now you can scale, move and rotate the selection the same way as you do with single-selected objects. Check this video screencast to see how group selection works.

A: You can change your registration email address on your Settings & License page. You can reach this page page by clicking your name on the top right corner of "Your page". Choose "Settings & License" from the drop down menu you get when you click your name.

Q: I attempted to sign up for Edu Enjoy but have yet to be sent a confirmation email to finish my registration.

A: In some cases, well-protected school networks stop all automatic emails including the one that comes from Prezi as a confirmation email for educational registrations. Please ask your local system administrators to allow all email communication with Prezi.com.

PreziDesktop, the offline editor

Q: Is there a folder where my prezis are stored on my computer? (PreziDesktop3)

A: - Yes, there is. The exact location of your stored prezi data depends on your operating system. Here are the locations by OS. Please note that [username] means the user with which you are logged in to your computer. You will find data about your currently open prezi, the available fonts, styles, and other data related to the behavior of the application.-Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\com.prezi.PreziDesktop\Local Store\ -Windows Vista, Windows 7:C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\com.prezi.PreziDesktop\Local Store\ -Mac OSX: Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/com.prezi.PreziDesktop/Local Store/Editor-related issues:

1. Click the "Colors & Fonts" bubble menu of the editor 2. Click "Theme Wizard"3. When the Theme Wizard pop up window is open, click the "Replace Logo" button 4. Choose an image from your computer, and hit Enter.Your logo will be shown in the lower left corner of the Theme Wizard's previw window and your Prezi editor window as well.

Q: My YouTube videos disappear from downloaded prezisA: YouTube videos only work in online prezis.

Q: My prezi suddenly disappeared while I was typing something/after I have uploaded an image or video/when I reopened it after having saved and closed it.

A: It is very likely that your prezi has zoomed away, but the content is still in the canvas - out of your focus. Please read this article for a step-by-step workaround: http://prezi.com/learn/zoomed-away-prezi/

Q: Help, everything I type is appearing upside down!

A: This can happen when the prezi is too large. Please check the zoom meter on the right side of your screen, group-select your entire content (by holding shift and dragging a rectangle around your group of objects) and scale the entire prezi up or down until the zoom meter starts to move towards the center. It is also possible that your canvas is simply rotated by 180 degrees. Use keys 3 and 4 on your keyboard to rotate it back to right side up.

Q: I cannot move/rotate/select/ objects in my prezi! (they are faded out!)

A:  Prezi has a feature called zoom-to-lock, which locks objects too far or too close to your view so you will not unintentionally move them up when you work on your canvas and drag/move/rotate objects on a different zoom level. Holding the Shift button unlocks all locked elements. Read more about this feature in our related blog post. http://blog.prezi.com/2010/10/14/new-editor-enhancements/

Q: I have uploaded an image but all I see is a funny shaped yellow blob instead. I cannot delete it!

A: These yellow blobs are placeholders of images which could not be uploaded. You can get rid of them by holding the Shift button, clicking them, and when you see the zebra tool over them, just hit the backspace key on your keyboard. After you have successfully deleted the placeholder, try to upload the image again. If you cannot upload any images there must be a network protection issue in the background. Please check your firewall/proxysettings and allow all communication with Prezi.com.

Q: I have just realized that autosave froze: will I lose all my work from the last few hours?

A: The best solution when an online prezi autosave hangs is to group select your entire content, then copy/paste it to a new, empty prezi and save that one. Usually there is no problem with autosaving, but a local network glitch can cause this issue.
