You make great music!
a LOT of it
of course, not all of it is "gold"
the gold is often lurking in bits and pieces
you and the band listen back occasionally and say
"Wow! We should do something with that riff"
"This groove is da bomb!"
"You nailed that solo!"
"This needs more cowbell"
"If we put that riff with this groove we would have a great song!"
and so on...
Then you go home and forget about it
Until the next session
When no one remembers exactly where all the cool bits were last time
