Congratulations! You haven't just finished a paper... You've changed your world! Thirteen of you taught your reseach to elementary and middle school students. Courtney, Annie, Rosie, Maddie, Brooke, Ariel, Emily Y., Matt, Reilly, Stephanie, Katie, Rachel A., and David W. shared their expertise, their enthusiasm, and their time with students just starting to learn about the world around them, helping younger students become more aware of their world. David’s ability to explain the social structure of a foreign country to a seventh grade class is not an easy task. He helped foster an understanding in students raising questions and relating the material to prior knowledge. Well done. --Mr. Ballinger Katie W., I am very proud of the hard work you put into your project, and everything you do! You are a wonderful, talented, and hard working daughter. To my students- Words cannot express how proud I am of all you have accomplished this semester. You've written personal essays, blogs, and literary criticism essays. You've had the courage and the conviction to speak in front of your peers about what you believe. You've held online discussions, listened to the tale of a Holocaust survivor, heard speakers from India and Vietnam. You've taught the class... and most importantly, you've taught me. You've taught me to be a better teacher, to listen to my students, to give students an opportunity to find their own voice, to take chances because when you had the freedom to create, freedom to choose your topics, each and every one of you rose to the occasion.
