Who is Development Perspectives?
Development issues and processes are complex and are not reducible to one or
a few ‘correct’ solutions, or to a single ideological approach
We need problem solvers. It is necessary for people to be able
to recognize and understand the interdependent nature of the world around us and how we can address some of the complex and difficult challenges facing us.

We need a population willing and able to contribute to struggles ahead rather than one paralyzed by fear or a lack of confidence/skills/knowledge.
Extreme self-interest and greed also need to be addressed. Both played their part in our recent economic demise yet were almost badges of honour during the Celtic Tiger.
Development Perspectives can play its part in addressing these issues.
A major pillar of our work is development education and the majority of our endeavours in this area focuses on an eight month project that explores, examines and acts upon a range of issues and challenges that face our world. Our development education activity is based on the utilisation of experiential learning and informed theoretically by systems thinking and reflective practice.
Our vision of the world is one where people live in peace with each other, in
harmony with nature, free from the shackles of hunger and poverty and who are willing to work and co-operate with each other to bring about an equitable, just and sustainable world.
Our mission is to actively involve people in learning about and then tackling social,
political, environmental and economic challenges through an educational process
in local and global communities.
 Our values are
 Justice / Equality / Sustainability /
Solidarity / Partnership / Interdependence / Integrity / Citizenship / Responsibility
/ Participation / Leadership
Our Values are......
Our Mission is to ....
Our Vision is.....
To Involve and engage targeted groups of multipliers/agents of change
in Development Education programmes to bring about a deeper knowledge of Development challenges and to implement effective
actions to lessen poverty and inequality.
