Report an absence 24-7 at 708-387-0178 Request homework during your absence call. It will be ready for pick-up at 3:05pm. Dress Code It is our expectation that all students will be in uniform at all times, including early dismissal days. Notice will be sent home any time there is a free dress school day. Students will be given consequences for being out of uniform. Communication If a concern arises, here is the proper protocol you should follow: 1. Superintendent (Dr. Vladika) 783-4100 Curriculum Every child has access to: Scott Foresman Reading Streets Harcourt Math Second Step (Social-Emotional Learning) Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) RtI Academic & Behavior benchmarking occurs 3 times a year using AIMSweb. Green-tested at or above grade level/normal risk for academic interruption Yellow-tested just below grade level/elevated risk for academic interruption Red-tested well below grade level/highly elevated risk for academic interruption RtI Academic Interventions: During the school day-Red, some Yellow Before/after school-Yellow Academic Monitoring: Benchmark (fall, winter, and spring)- Green and Yellow Progress (every two weeks)-Red Behavior Interventions: During the school day-Yellow and Red Behavior Monitoring: Benchmark (fall, winter, and spring)-Green and Yellow Progress (can be daily, weekly, or bi-weekly)-Yellow and Red RtI Second Step It is a social skills approach to youth violence prevention. Children learn skills in empathy, problem solving, impulse control, and anger management so that all children may interact more effectively with one another. This curricular program is used in every classroom over the course of the school year. PBS Parents can support PBS by becoming familiar with and posting the expectation matrix at home, supporting expectations consistently, providing opportunities for students to interact with classmates outside of school, and communicating with teachers and administrators. PBS It is a program designed to support specific academic, behavioral, and social needs of students. Our three expectations are Show Respect, Be Responsible, Give Best Effort. Vision Statement Lincoln students, parents, staff and community members join together to develop a climate of mutual respect and personal responsibility where we build empathetic relationships and problem-solving skills to promote life-long learners. PBS Matrix School-Home connections Every Thursday your child (oldest or only) will bring home a "packet." The envelope needs to be signed and returned on Friday. (Lost envelopes carry $5 replacement cost.) You can visit www.sd103.com/lincoln anytime for information. School Safety Parking lots are for faculty only. Visitors may park on Shields Avenue and enter our school using door #1. Please obey all traffic laws and signage within our school zone. Crossing Guards work 8:15-8:35am and 3:05-3:20pm.
