Our bottom line... dis Students dreams. hopes. talents. skills. goals. with abilities different have a broad range of interests opportunities? How can we better provide our students exposure to these careers? If our schools can help our students identify interests Can we make the connections in the community? It's not about thinking outside the box It's that there isn't supposed to be a box Let's dream big, people! there isn't supposed to be you can't there isn't supposed to be "not able" 51.7% = The percentage of unemployed teens age 16 – 19 who are actively seeking jobs in the District of Columbia. This is the highest teen unemployment rate in the U.S. (Employment Policies Institute April 2012)
14.2% = The percentage of employed teens with disabilities age 16 – 19 in the country. This is more than 10 percentage points lower than the rate for non-disabled teens.
