We use a human centred design approach to help humans connect with organisations through innovative & meaningful products, services & experiences.
Traditional consultancies believe that it is possible to analytically solve tough problems, develop a program of work and release the benefits. This sort of approach works well for problems in the mechanical world where a correct answer exists. 
However real problems, the type that keep us up at night tend, complex, chaotic, “wicked" problems with some or all of the following types of complexity* don’t often yield to such direct attacks.
Problems are dynamically complex when cause and effect are distant in time and space. 
Example, sending people on a 
training course may improve 
their capability at work but 
the benefits to the organisation 
are likely to be realised over a 
period of months or years and 
perhaps in a different team or 
company.
Tough Problems are Dynamic + Social + Generative
Problems are socially complex if 
the people involved have different assumptions, beliefs, values and objectives. 
Example, bureaucrats that grew 
up in the suburbs of Sydney might 
find it hard to understand the social dynamics of aboriginal tribes and therefore fail if they develop reconciliation strategies from an office in Canberra.
Problems are generatively complex when the future is unfamiliar and unpredictable. 
Example: your company is merged with another company and it is unclear who you will be working for, what you will be doing and which building you will be doing it in in six months time.

Design is a process for purposefully delivering innovation in products, services and experiences. It is a way of thinking, a set of cognitive skills, methods, tools and techniques that defines problems, discovers solutions and makes them real. It results in objects, systems or services that work aesthetically, functionally and commercially, improving peoples lives and making the smallest possible impact on the planet.
Paul has over 10 years experience as a consultant and leader in Financial Services, Mining, Manufacturing & Technology. His  innovative approach and broad skill set in strategy, innovation, operations management, organizational capability & process improvement helps clients see problems clearly, he then builds human capability by working with people to design solutions and deliver results.

Paul is a Certified Master Coach and has a B. Tech in Product Development (hons) and an M.Tech in Quality (hons).

Our Strategic Dialogue approach enables groups of people to develop an actionable strategic roadmap to get from their current reality to an exciting, preferred future
good design requires strong executive intent throughout. Usually this means that solving the "Problem" is important to the organisation's strategy.
the DNA of innovative solutions comes from insights released through immersion in the problem. This often means spending time getting a deep understanding of customers/users and their lives as well as the business constraints inherrant in the project
invention starts happening naturally as 
we build an understanding of the problem. Capture as many hypothesis solutions to the problem as you can before testing them with prototypes
Promising ideas should be built into prototypes to test with customers. Insights gained through prototyping drive back through invention to create better solutions and more robust 
outcomes for the business
Develop a Strategy
Through our experience and our work with other designers we’ve developed the A two B Strategic Dialogue methodology to bring clarity to tough problems. 
We have used A two B’s to facilitate the strategic planning process in a variety of organisations. It’s also proved extremely effective for clarifying intent and agreeing on an approach throughout innovation and design projects.
