Data Engineer
What you will do:
- Analyse vast amounts of data to find answers to exciting and sometimes ill-defined questions
- Implement tools for users based on a deep understanding of their behavior and content
- Work in rapid iterations to see and measure the result of your work as early as possible
- Solid math skills
- Solid programming skills (OO, unix, backend programming is a must, front-end programming is a nice to have)
- Passion for solving exciting problems
- Good written and spoken English is essential
- A result oriented approach
- Experience with any of the following: machine learning, statistical modelling, data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, network theory, (behavioral) economics or game theory
- Experience in general software development
- Familiarity with agile
- Experience with functional programming
- Experience with Hadoop, MongoDB or other NoSQL solutions is a plus
- Good communication skills are desirable
