Condition 1: Competitive Usability Test
Number of participants: 6
Procedure: Use other calorie tracking methods and the UbiCal sytem for 3 days each.
Condition 2: Field Test
Number of participants: 30
Procedure: Participants approached at Gator dining outlets do one- time testing of the system. Results and Analysis Results from the Field Test:
Users find the system easy to use, with a mean of 1.3 reported on a 7-point Likert Scale.
Results from the Competitive Usability Test:
Users feel that the system improves their effectiveness in tracking calories, with a mean of 3.1 reported on a 7-point scale
Comparing the two groups:
