Twitter for Teachers
What is Twitter?
"To talk in an excited 
or nervous manner."
A micro-blogging service that allows people to type in short messages or status updates that can be read by people following them
Using Twitter
Step 1:
Go to www.twitter.com and register.
Fill out your profile (this is the first impression people have of you) 
Add a photo. 

Step 2 - Find people to follow
Begin with an educator on Twitter you know and begin following them (k_ferrell for example).
Look through their followers/who they follow and follow them if they are of interest to you
Step 3
Return to your home page and begin watching the tweet stream
If you see something interesting, Re-Tweet it (RT)
Share links, share ideas, ask questions, answer questions — anything but “what are you doing?” unless it’s really interesting
