HTHflex will be physically located at the High Tech High Point Loma Village
Students will not be required to come to school physically a set number of days
HTHflex may have a 1-2 week in person orientation in August
HTHflex will likely have in person evening exhibitions and/or presentations of learning once per semester.

What's the "flex" in HTHflex?
Why Flex?
There are students who would like to go to High Tech High who currently are unable to do so.
Online schools are plentiful, yet many replicate a traditional view of teacher and learner
Developing HTHflex will help us to develop tools that improve our existing schools; we will try out tools in our existing schools that improve HTHflex.

Prepare all students for college
Develop students able to participate in a healthy democracy
Why do 18 year olds in June need a bathroom pass?
but 18 year olds in August can sleep in their dorm room all day?
All students complete University of California A-G requirements
because no one should find out that they don't have the option to go to college
All students take a college class while still enrolled at HTHflex
